I am not a big social media person. I have accounts, but rarely feel an urge to post, much less post all the time. Someone suggested it might help if I got more active and followed some other accounts, so I tested the theory on Instagram.

There were a lot of things I didn’t care about. I found fat dogs and funny cats. Some of the scuba videos and photos were interesting, and I liked some of the travel video montages.

But I discovered a surprising addiction to watching a french pastry chef build huge creations made of chocolate. There was a dinosaur, a delivery box, a jet fighter, and a giant strawberry among many others. This guy can make anything out of chocolate, and I kept watching.

I don’t even like chocolate and now I’m afraid to go back on Instagram.
